About Casey
I'm Casey. I'm a fairly normal (sort of) person. I'm a wife and mother. I have a real job, a real family and a boatload of responsibility. I also like to write. I've been creating stories since I was a kid and just recently decided to start publishing some of them. I'll admit that Casey is a pen name. My need to write has never outweighed my need for privacy and anonymity. But, other than the name, the rest is all me.
When I was younger, I migrated to the South and made my home here. While I may have dreams of living in a tropical paradise, it is simply not an option until my children move out of my home and no matter how much I push and shove, they're not ready yet. I guess, they really need to grow up before I boot them out. I'm kidding. I love my children and they are still young. They will be grown before I know it and I will want them back. I have however, forewarned my husband. One of these days when they are on their own, we're selling the house and buying a boat. I'm putting that boat in the water and it will be my home. Then I can move whenever I want. Since my husband likes neither sun nor water, I've promised to insure that we have wireless internet and as many electronic devices as necessary to keep him from getting bored. I'm fortunate because I believe he would really let me do it. Time will tell.
I spend much of my free time writing. Unfortunately, there is simply not that much free time. I spend a great deal of time playing chauffeur to my kids, shuttling them from one event to the next. I love to watch them perform and compete though, so it's worth it. What little time that remains after my kids, my husband, my job and my writing, is devoted to riding my motorcycle. I have a beautiful little sportbike that I love to ride. I'm thoroughly convinced that the freedom I feel when I'm flying down the road, helps me keep my temper in check when life gets too frustrating. I highly recommend it. For a little while, you won't hear your phone ring, your children fighting or screaming "Mom", or your spouse or co-workers calling your name.
Now I'll admit that when it comes to keeping up with the world at large, I'm lousy at it. I've tried to create a blog (don't know much about it but I'm trying it anyway) and I hope that people will visit and share a few words. I'd love to hear feedback if you've read my work. I'm always open to suggestions, comments, and yes, even criticism. I'd also love to know what you like to read.
Thanks for everything.
